Posted by blogwriter

Clear Fork Royalty, LLC, an Oil & Gas acquisition company that focuses on the acquisition of oil and gas royalties, mineral rights, and overriding royalty interests, acquired a number of properties in the 3rd Quarter of 2011, including interest in the Barnett Shale in North Texas. The properties are located throughout the "core" of the play and spread in the the "combo" portion that contains an increased amount of liquids and oil.

"Building strong positions in quality oil and gas basins is an important part of Clear Fork Royalty's strategy. The company seeks to continually add quality properties to it's portfolio and enhance the strength of it's assets through acquisitions. We view the natural gas, in particular, the Barnett Shale is a quality formation that pairs nicely with the rest of our assets," says Clear Fork Royalty, President Joseph P. DeWoody

Clear Fork continues to focus its efforts on the Barnett Shale, but keeps a diversified approach to the company's acquisitions. Other basins in which Clear Fork Royalty is purchasing include: the Haynesville Shale, Woodford Shale, Fayetteville Shale, Mississippian, Bakken, Utica, Brown Dense, Niobrara and Granite Wash. "We love the Barnett Shale, and will continue to increase our holdings in the play, but we also continually seek to diversify across multiple basins," says DeWoody.

Clear Fork Royalty acquires all types of mineral rights and Royalties. Whether large or small, Clear Fork is able to work with the mineral rights owner to buy their interests. "Our goal is to be up-front and honest in all of our interactions. We want the owner who is considering divesting of their property to know that selling mineral rights is not as hard as it seems and that we can provide a timely offer to meet the seller's needs," says DeWoody.
